The Modern Saints will be hosting a “Modern Iconography” class at 400 W Rich, on October 20th
This class will go over some of the history, materials, process, symbolism, and methods of iconography to help you develop a sense of the Tradition of iconography. Then, using some new methods and materials, we will craft a “modern icon” of our own, borrowing or innovating from this Tradition however we would like to make an experience of creation that fits us and our faith practice.
Again - this is not a strictly traditional iconography class! We will be breaking some of the rules, even if just to learn that we prefer the rules!
Admission to these classes is proof of preorder of The Modern Saints book! (Find links on themodernsaints.com)
Materials will be provided, just bring a board, piece of repurposed wood, canvas, or other base material with you!”

Saturday, September 30th, from 10:30am - 12:00pm
Fresh A.I.R. Gallery and SEEN Studio Artist in Residence Todd Loe will host a one session, 1.5hr workshop to learn his techniques with soft pastels. All skill levels are welcome, with no prior art making experience necessary. Ages 14 and up.Materials will be provided and participants will leave the workshop with one finished work and a set of pastels to take home.
